One of the beautiful things about science is that it allows us to bumble along, getting it wrong time after time, and feel perfectly fine as long as we learn something each time.

… the Blog
Just take a look at the last posts. All of them are related to bioinformatic tools and how to use them. I could think that I will use this blog to post what I am doing with my life at this moment, specially the topics related to the PhD in Biomedicine that I started in October 2013.
As a wish for this site I just hope the posts here will become useful for someone else than me.

My name is Carles Hernandez-Ferrer. I studied a BSc in Computer Sciences at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) but I am not a computer scientist. Then, also at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), I studied a MSc in Bioinformatics but I am not a bioinformatician. “Now” I started a PhD in Biomedicine at Universitat Pompeu Fabra while working an Centre de Recerca en Epidemiologia Ambiental (CREAL).
So… I am not a computer scientist nor a bioinformatician… am I a bio-medical student? No, neither. I am just a person trying to satisfy their curiosity.
